Commentary:

  • With winter harvest activity mostly complete in Queensland, growers are looking ahead to summer cropping opportunities. Decent rainfall has boosted prospects for growers in many areas.
  • In northern NSW, receivals continued steadily, particularly across the Liverpool Plains region, while southern NSW also saw strong delivery volumes until wet weather slowed activity across the state. Several sites achieved daily receival records, including Werris Creek, Barellan, Quandialla, Bribbaree and Milvale.
  • In Victoria, widespread rain has continued to delay receival activity. While growers are hopeful of getting back onto their paddocks this week, forecasts still predict more rain in many areas.
  • GrainCorp encourages growers to stay in regular contact with their local Site Managers for the latest information regarding operating hours and segregations.
