A shared passion
GrainCorp Community Foundation celebrates first year
October 06, 2022

New netball courts, kindergarten equipment, dance programs, artworks and much more have sprung up out of the GrainCorp Community Foundation’s (GCF) inaugural year.

More than 100 community groups across three states on the east coast of Australia shared $500,000 in funding from the GCF, which is designed to give back to the communities in which GrainCorp operates.

With a community fund to support club sponsorships and grants for projects, the silo art program and an integrated staff volunteering initiative on the table, the GCF offers plenty of opportunity for regional communities to seek support.

Community Engagement Manager Kyle Docherty said the Foundation aims to ensure the longevity of regional towns.

“We are looking for initiatives that provide long-lasting benefits for community members, and there were plenty to choose from in this year,” he said.

“We can’t wait to see what the second year of the program will do!”
