Commentary:

  • Grain receivals continued in parts of southern NSW and Victoria during the festive season, with the primary areas of activity around Junee, the Southern Mallee, Central Victoria and the Wimmera regions.
  • Growers are still delivering in parts of Western Victoria and the Wimmera, including Nhill, Murtoa, Hamilton, Carpolac and Lillimur. With clearer weather, activity is expected to wind up in the coming weeks.
  • GrainCorp’s outload program continued across the network to create capacity for more receivals. This will be sustained throughout January, with up to 200,000 tonnes to be outloaded per week.
  • Some sites are open by appointment only now – growers are encouraged to maintain regular communication with their local Site Managers regarding opening hours, deliveries and segregations.
